Hi,
I'm a new BibDesk user. The BibDesk wiki
<http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/bibdesk/index.php?title=Templates> says,
"The Export submenus can be found in the File menu of BibDesk. You can
either export the whole database, or just the references which you have
selected. To use the default template, select the "HTML" item from the
export submenu."
But when I choose File > Export in BibDesk, the only File Format options
I see are BibTeX, Minimal BibTeX, RIS, Amsrefs LTB, EndNote XML, MODS
XML, Atom XML, and BibTeX and Papers Archive.
Looking at the documentation, I expected to have at least HTML, RTF, and
Word Doc templates. Checking my template files (BibDesk > Preferences >
Templates), I see these
PLUS RTFD and RSS templates.
Furthermore, these templates seem to apply to exporting to files. Is
there a way I can modify the templates used to drag citations into a
document? Some kinds of documents want citation formats that are
different from the typical BibTeX. For instance, Scrivener with
MultiMarkdown wants ordinary BibTeX citations to be enclosed as an HTML
comment (e.g., <!--\cite{Kernighan1977}-->). I'd like to make templates
for this kind of style.
So where are the missing templates? And, how does one edit the templates
used for dragging citations?
Thanks
