|> I am stuck. For several years I have used LaTeX for the production of
manuscripts, which included references, but on a Windows machine. Some time
ago I switched to a Mac, and used BibDesk to manage references and TeXShop to
generate the manuscripts themselves. My problem is simple and frustrating, I
am unable to get the TeXShop to read and generate the produce the references.

When I use TeXShop as editor/typesetter (I use TextMate + TeXShop normally
because citation completion is easier in TextMate), I keep my Bibdesk bib file
open in the background, then type \cite{name... (first letters of word) and
press F5 for completion (= fn + F5 on my Mac). I'm using biblatex, biber, and
latexmk for typesetting (with -pvc flag in latexmk for continuous watching of
files). This works for me. Perhaps others have better, easier methods.
