Hi Christiaan, What I am referring to is the following:
Say I create a "Web group" to search for a paper (i.e., arXiv or DOI) and when I get a result, I use the import feature. This creates a smart group called "Last Import" with the article I just imported. Now if I use the same "Web group" to search and import another article, the "Last Import" is updated with the recently imported article. I was looking for a way if "Last Import" would keep a list of articles during my searches. There have been a couple of responses in the thread -- thanks for the suggestions, very helpful :) I have to say, I have used many reference management software over the years, and by far, I find BibDesk the most flexible, and versatile application. I don’t think it is very useful (or worth it) to have an import group for all imported items in a session. It is probably more useful to use a smart group based on ~Date-Added, for instance containing all items added in the last day. We do not maintain a database containing all items for all open documents.
