Good thought, but it appears to me that the "bridge" (not sure what
the technical term is) between the seat stays where the brake bolt
hole is located does not have much if any more clearance than the
calipers themselves - maybe 1-2 mm if that much.  Seems that Jamis was
not planning on anything remotely cushy on this bike.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions -- I think I will check out
the Continentals and see how that works out.
