Here is the missing first paragraph:
Since Turbo--Pascal was introduced, FORTH compiler cannot be
considered as fast. In the meantime, other compilation speed oriented
compilers has appeared, with the speed on the order of 10000 lines per
minute. Regular bigFORTH processes around 2000 lines. However, there
is a simple method to speed up the compilation.
I'm wondering does anyone but me needs these translations? Is there a
point to finish the translation of the manual?
