Modularization property of a platform is one a highly effective ways to keep
APIs in check, IMO. Split of packages physically will only help the cause.
While I have my doubts that much of the flexibility can be achieved in the
current state of affairs (even with the best packaging structure put in place)
I would still +1 it because this is the step in the right direction.
