Roman Shaposhnik commented on BIGTOP-670:
-----------------------------------------

It would be really nice if we can have ASF infra manage these resources. The
biggest problem for them is the sheer # of platforms that Bigtop supports. It
is trivial to have that many VMs running on demand, but when it comes to
physical infrastructure it surely feels like an overkill from the management
complexity side of things.

Now, what would be completely awesome is if we can have something like
CloudStack be managed by ASF infra and provision VMs for us just like EC2 does.
After all CloudStack is an ASF project so there's a delightful notion of eating
our own dog food here as well.

If there's anybody who can intro this idea to a friendly ASF INFRA person --
please chime in. If not, I might be able to reach out directly once I'm done
with the post-graduation things.

> A lot of folks are wondering about the location of our secondary Jenkins
> server. Perhaps we should document both of them:
> # https://builds.apache.org/view/A-F/view/Bigtop/
> # http://bigtop01.cloudera.org:8080
> I would imagine a section on our project web page
> (http://incubator.apache.org/bigtop/) talking about how our continuous
> integration works.
