Our Bihari and Jharkhandi leaders are trained and brought up in the
playing field of crime, loot, mismanagement, murder, rape, extortion,
kidnapping, casteism etc. Parliament is an alien world for them much
more than a game of cricket for a carrom champion. So all our MPs and
Leaders and Ministers remain whole heartedly with "their people" in
Bihar/ Jharkhand. You can understand well what development
perspectives they can have. You cannot find a parallel anywhere in the
country though no. of MPs in general with narrow vision are more now
than ever before.

Becoming an MP does not make our representatives a person with
dynamic, nationalistic aptitude with development perspectives. So they
cannot articulate the modern concept of development economics and
their alignment with newer technologies and Market economy. In fact
they do not have any system in mind. You prescribe a degree. They will
get them from the back date. We already have examples. The degrees do
not make them MPs it is their criminal superiority. They need vision
which will be visible by their participation in Parliamentary
discussion and not by attendance in Bihar. What are their track
records?

We had only two- Late Dr Rajendra Pd. and Jagjivan Ram on the National
scene with Nationalistic vision. Take example of Late Ram Subhag
Singh, Tarkeshwari Sinha, Shyam Nandan Mishra, Baliram Bhagat and the
Communist MPs in general and compare the participation of our MPs
today in the Parliamentary debates with them. I have not counted JB
Kripalani, Ashok Mehta, Madhu Limaye and George Fernandes as they were
not Bihari or Jharkhandis.

The understanding of our MPs will be complete if one is just present
in the company of a Bihari/ Jharkhandi MP for half an hour. Just
repeat this with another MP and extrapolate the data for all MPs. Not
many exceptions will be there.

vns.
