> *     The 1st ride will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Pennypack
> park in New Jersey. The ride will start at 10am and end at 2pm. Directions

> Wissahickon Park. Details to be finalized
> *     The July ride will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2002-Location

> Equipment: (All equipment was either donated or bought with a grant)

> *     1 floor pump
> *     22 spare tubes

> *     10 t-shirts from the national Trips for Kids program
> *     10 water bottles from the National Trips for Kids Program
> *     100 Clif Bars 
> *     10 patch kits
> *     10 tire levers
> *     100 water bottles from subaru

> The Kids:
> Because of a fellow biker and teacher in the Camden school District we are
> lucky to have 8 of the youth that she teaches and they are exited for this
> opportunity. 
> We are in conversations with many other groups in the philadelphia area
> about rides in the future such as:( all of the names listed below are not
> committed to a ride at this time)

> *     Congresso De Latinos Unidos
> *     The Center for Greater Philadelphia
> *     Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations
> *     Philadelphia Citizens for Children and Youth
> *     Neighborhood Bike Works-an organization that promotes youth

> opportunities through reapiring , maintaining bicycles and learning about

> What do we need???
> I will put these in priority order:
> *     Volunteers
> *     Ride leaders needed for the June and July rides
> *     Riders needed for May, June and July rides
> *     People who want to work on developing this organization ( youth
> group liason, bike maintenance, sponsorships, promotions-TV and
> newspapers)
> *     Storage Space in the Conshohocken area for the equipment listed
> above that is safe, dry and which one can have easy access to.
> *     On April 28th, 2002 the Philadelphia Bike club will have a bike swap
> at the Art Museaum and we need people to stand there with flyers ( being
> developed)
> *     Product/Monetary  Sponsors-if you know of corporations or
> individuals that want to donate  please let me know so that I can contact
> them.
> *     Groups that have youth that we can take on rides-the only reason
> this is not at the top of the list is because at this moment we have youth
> for the first and the second rides.
