Chris Ziemann-is currently working for COWS and is working on the transportation budget stuff.

I sent the below message out to bikies yesterday - Chris is organizing car-pools up to Wausau (or Milwaukee) for the meeting - I realize this is driving up to a meeting to then talk about bike, ped, transit, and rail - so it is up to you... you can always write a letter to your state reps about this!

If you are interested in going to any of these meetings email Chris at

BFW just heard about these these meetings - it will be very important for
bicyclists to show up at these meeting and voice your support for
multi-modal transportation.
What do we mean by multi-modal?
We mean transportation planning and funding that looks at all modes of
transportation - at the same time and not highways first! With the Highway
Plan $5 billion shortfall - We are afraid that highways will be seen as
the only priority for the state and that bicycle & pedestrian facilities,
better transit, and high-speed rail will be consider extra and therefore
cut in favor of more highway spending. That is why it is so important to
go to one of these meeting. If you can't make it - write a letter to you
legislator and tell them you demand transportation freedom and
transportation choice - and that all modes of transportation must be
considered.
