The web page about the fight against chronic wasting disease as it relates
to state parks and trails:
>
> http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/cwd.html
>
was revised today (Friday, May 10, 2002). It says, in part:

DNR staff or persons authorized by the DNR may collect potentially diseased
deer within Blue Mound State Park beginning in mid-May. Visitors at the park
will be notified if collection is to take place.

There also will be deer collection on private lands adjacent to the Military
Ridge State Trail. In order to provide for public safety, the DNR will post
signs along the trail warning trail users of the collection effort.
