I think the title of one of Robbie's messages sums it up for me:
"Facilities Matter"
I hope the ride can make the point that the "freedom of mobility"
doesn't always come from a car - especially in the case of people too
young to drive who still want a degree of autonomy. And this is why,
_especially_ in the most car-dense parts of town, there ought to be
convenient facilities that support the freedom of mobility for all
common modes of transportation in a safe fashion. And, as Robbie stated
at the April PBMVC meeting, such facilities ought to be safe for use by
adolescents, not just adults.
P.S. I'll be wearing black today.
