my date with the fitchburg city attorney is getting close so i'm busily
working on my defense. how depressing. sure wish i could afford an
attorney!! anyhow, i would like to understand what the legal distances
bikers are given to use from the edge of the road - the stretch of road i'm
dealing with is on seminole hwy and has no designated bike lane and is 24'
wide. i believe its three feet from the edge of the pavement but to where
on the bike? the wheels? the handlebar? and what about between a bike
passing another bike and where is that measured from? i have the same
question for the distance that a automobile must give a bicyclist and where
is the law measuring it from? i'm going to draw a pretty little autocad
picture for the city attorney to show him exactly how things lawfully should
have been, how things were in my story on the police report and how things
were in the bronco boys story on the police report.

here's a good one too: does anyone have access to a 1990 ford bronco??
what's the measured wheel base width? how about the body(wheel wells)
width? and the total width from mirror to mirror?

please email me directly so i get it promptly - i'm on the daily digest
format for this list.

thanks,
john
