Here is how I would do it. I'd guess 110 - 120 miles.
Leave Madison on Old Sauk Road
Turn right on Timberline Road
Turn left on Birch Road
Turn left on Old Stage
Turn Right on CTH P
Turn Left on Bourbon (now in Cross Plains)
Turn left on CTH KP
Continue on CTH KP thru Black Earth
Turn left on USH 14 at Mazomanie
Turn Right on CTH Y in Mazo
Turn Left on Hudson Road in Mazo
Go to end and turn left
Turn right on USH 14 (3 foot paved shoulders - caution)
Turn right on first road on east side of Arena
Turn left on Helena Road
Continue thru hamlet of Helena
Cross USH 14
Turn right on CTH C
**Cross STH 23 and continue on CTH C to STH 130
**Turn right on STH 130 until STH 133
**Go straight on STH 133 until Avoca
Turn left in Avoca to get to Old 80 Road
Turn right on Old 80 Road
Cross STH 80
Turn right on Prairie Road
Turn left on ???? Road
Turn right on CTH P
Turn left on STH 133/80
Enter Muscoda
Go straight on CTH G
Turn right on Blue River Road
Turn Left on STH 133
Go thru Blue River on STH 133
Turn left on Old County C
Enter Boscobel
Variation thru Boscobel
Exit Boscobel west on STH 133
Go thru Woodman (might have a coke machine)
Continue on STH 133
Turn right on CTH C
The long valley ends with a 1/2 mile steep hill (only significant hill
on trip)
Continue thru hamlet of Millville to USH 18
Turn right at USH 18
Continue on USH 18 until Prairie du Chien
**variation - Turn right on STH 23 to Spring Green
Turn left on Kennedy (might be Main in Spring Green)
Continue to Lone Rock
Turn right on STH 130/133
Cross river and turn right on STH 133.
##Could bike STH 133 all the way to Boscobel instead of taking
local roads
This route is about as flat as you can get.
Mike Rewey
so many roads... so little time....
