I just picked this up off the City Of Madison Web Site. I think it is
important that bicyclist's perspectives get represented at these meetings.
Therefore, I would encourage everyone interested in maintaining the current
level of bicycle support to try to attend one or more of these meetings.

MAYOR INVITES RESIDENTS TO BUDGET TALKS
Mayor Sue Bauman has scheduled a series of seven public meetings at various
locations throughout the city in October and early November to talk with
Madison residents about the priorities for the city�s future that are reflected
in the 2003 Executive Operating Budget and Capital Budget. A calendar of those
meetings is provided as part of this news release.
Both the 2003 Executive Operating Budget and the 2003 Executive Capital Budget
are available online at Mayor Bauman�s homepage on the City website
www.ci.madison.wi.us
The Common Council is scheduled to adopt the 2003 City Operating and Capital
Budget on Tuesday, November 12, 2002.
