A recent news article in the WiSJ (reminding us) that the state 20-year
Highway plan is $5 Billion short. The 20 year plan has a cost of
$20 Billion, but revenues are projected to fall short. This was known
a few years ago, when they first put out the plan; I don't know why
its in the news now. Does that mean that gas taxes and registration fees
don't cover the cost of roads? Why yes it does. Slackers like
Tim W. and John W. think they can avoid subsidizing our paving
lobby by not owning a car -- dream on!
