Those interested in an access point through the Odana golf course
parking lot to the SW Path should go to the public hearing listed below.
MG&E and the American Transmission Company will be installing an electric
transmission line along the SW Path from Fitchburg to Odana Golf course.
>From Odana Golf Course, the transmission line goes west down Odana Rd. to
the area just behind Channel 27. From the Channel 27 area, the line goes
south to the Beltline right-of-way and goes west to a substation at West
Towne.
The installation of the transmission line will start in early 2003.
The installation is not suppose to shut down operation of the SW Path. In
addition to the connector to the SW Path, a new path will be constructed on
top of the transmission line from Medical Circle to Grand Canyon Dr. in the
Beltline right-of-way.
