Meeting Notice: Kickoff Open House
Date: Monday, October 28, 2002
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Place: Marquee Room
Madison Civic Center
211 State Street
Madison, WI

Please join us to help chart our City's future. At the open house, you
will have the opportunity to:
Hear about the City's new Comprehensive Planning project.
Learn about trends affecting Madison and the Dane County region.
Talk with key City staff about existing plans and planning activities.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE by providing your comments and suggestions on the
future of Madison.

The Comprehensive Plan will chart a course for the City by establishing
guiding principles that help steer the City towards a promising future. The
process will focus on the difficult trade-offs necessary to balance growth,
livability, and affordability in a regional context.

At the open house, there will be informational displays, a short talk by
the Mayor and City staff, as well as opportunities to provide your comments
and suggestions. This meeting is only the first of several planning
activities that will be held throughout the City during the course of the
project.

Over the next two years, there will be a variety of opportunities for
Madison's citizens and residents to gather information, ask questions, and
join in charting our future* together. The next opportunity will be a
series of local open houses held throughout the community. Please see the
schedule below.
