The meeting last night went well and the turn out was good with standing room only. It must have been the free food. They had one room filled with posters about the major aspects that the plan will cover. Attendees were encouraged to fill out post-it notes with their comments. There were some interesting discussions at the transportation poster.
You can check out the dates and locations for the rest of the meetings at http://www.madisonplan.org/. Its just one page right now but they are supposed to add more to the site. They have a list serv you can subscribe to by emailing [EMAIL PROTECTED] with no subject and adding the following text (do not include the quotes) to the body of the message "subscribe madisonplan". One concern I do have is that they mentioned that those who parked at one of the parking ramps could get a $2 discount coupon towards the parking. They did not offer the same to those who biked/walked/bussed to the event. I hope that my tax money was not used to subsidize those who drove but I'm pretty sure I/we did.
