I have a major problem with the fee for using multi use paths. I happily pay a fee to ride, e.g., the mountain bike trails at Kettle Morraine or Blue Mound (which don't go anywhere, and are therefore clearly recreational, and were built primarily with the labor of volunteers and eventual trail users). But I will not pay a fee to use a multi use path built with transportation funds and intended as a transportation corridor, that is, until and unless all the roads in Dane County become toll roads as well (and the fee to cover the costs of motorists using roads had better be more than $10/year, too!)
