Actually, Mr. LePine had occasion to brag about the fact that county Parks *only* spends $3000/mile maintaining the trail, because the representative of the DNR (Peter Biermeier) said that the DNR spends $4800/mile on paved trails. clearly there are either different levels of maintenance, or different methods of accounting going on. Mike, what trails does the DOT maintain, and could we have a breakdown of what you spend for comparison?
