The League of American Bicyclists has devised a new measure of whether a community is bike friendly. It is much more sophisticated than previous ratings by national publications. They would really like to get an application from Madison.
BUT.... we here at Bike Fed have way too much on our plates to take on compiling the data they ask for (much of it probably from government or Chamber of Commerce Bureau sources.) And will this make city officials complacent if we get rated really highly (which I'm sure we would)? If anyone on this list (or someone you'd like to forward this to) feels this is important and wants to submit Madison, here is where you can get an application.
