I did not send these e-mails without commentary. The e-mail with a preface from
me hasn't come through on bikies yet despite sending it first. I think the e-mail
system at my internet service provider choked on the attachment in that e-mail. In
addition, I have had intermitent problems the last 6 months with e-mails sent to me or
sent by me not getting through. Below I have enclosed the e-mail (without attachment)
that didn't get through.
I also appologize for the duplication of the one e-mail. Mike Roach sent two
seemingly different versions of this e-mail to me. And then my computer at work said
it didn't send it the first two times when it actually did send the e-mail. Oh well.
Finally, I attended the county board meeting last night where the Transport 2020
report and recommendations were approved 31-5. The only 4 citizen speakers (including
me)were in support of the resolution. When the city council takes the resolution up
on January 21, there probably will be a lot more opposition. If you can, please
attend that meeting and express your opinions.

Well, the opposition to Transport 2020, the Commuter rail study, is gathering
strength. The following e-mail and several others that I will forward to bikies after
this one are making the rounds to decision makers. Look them over, post your counter
arguments, and show up at the County Board meeting tonight at 7:30 pm and the City
Council meeting on January 21 at 6:30 pm to express your opinion. Both meetings are
in Rm 201, City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
