Bikies - In case anyone hasn't heard through the grapevine or read in the papers.... I jumped into the race for the City Council in the 5th District (near west, west campus, Regent Neighborhood.)
I've been thinking about this for quite awhile, but hadn't planned to run for another two years. Then the incumbent in my district dropped out at the last minute and suggsted I run. So... here I am. This discussion list has made me think about many issues that affect our city and the world. It has been a great place to hear the voices of impassioned activists and a place to hash out problems. And the list - and the people on it - has politicized me and pushed me into the public debate. So for better or worse, the Bikies are probably responsible in large part for my decision. Thank you for your support in the past and the future. And if you aren't a fan of mine - too bad, you're stuck with me anyway! Thank you for the support you have shown me in the past.
