You might check directly with an aldermanic candidate for that area - Bikie Robbie Webber. They may also be an over on the Regent neighborhood web page, accessed via the City of Madison web site.
Otherwise, call Nan Fey to see if she has an update from her attendance at the West Campus Committee meetings. The last plan I heard of (3 months ago?)was to build a 1285 space ramp at the UW Medical complex. There would also be an undisclosed number of underground spaces beneath each of the new BioStar buildings, perhaps 200 to 500 per building (to "serve" a total complex of some 12 million square feet of office and lab space). It would seem preordained by UW administrators that "quality medical searchers and other employees" won't want to ride pool or use public transit... A report on a campus power plant presentation by UW/MGE last week noted that Chan. Wiley was talking about another ramp at Lot 60, allegedly to free up a little token green space. It is not clear this is in addition to the health center ramp. UW has according to Nan been very evasive about the net increase in parking on campus and seems to have little to no concern over its impact on adjacent neighborhoods. -----Original Message----- From: Michael Lemberger [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2003 12:08 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bikies] UW West Campus Ramp? Hi All, Anybody know of an online source of information on what's brewing for the West Campus ramp? Barring that, is there any current unofficial info?
