The next Critical Mass ride is on January 31 2003, at 5:30pm, and meets at
West Wash and Capitol Square. I have been thinking that since the primary for
City Elections is 18 days later (on February 18th), and that many of the issues
candidates have been discussing invlove transportation, we might have
an "invite your candidates" ride this month - and see which candidates are
really willing to push some pedals in their quest to improve Madison.
One candidate I can think of right away, and the one I think is most
likely to show up is Robbie Webber, who recently announced her candidacy for
the District 5 Alder position. (Consider this your invitation Robbie).
So I urge everyone to find out who is running in their district, and ask
them to come to the next ride. Come to the next ride with some questions or
suggestions for the candidates that choose to show up. Oh, and make sure to
invite a candidate for Mayor too!
I can't seem to find a quick reference for who is running in what
district. Does anyone know where you can find this information out?
