Thanks for standing up for decorum.
Reading the various messages about how the County Comprehensive Plan
process is "taking place in a vacuum", that bikies should attend the
Transport 2020 hearing at City Council (but didn't, except for Ms. Webber
and Mr. Shahan), and that the Sierra Club is evil because it promotes
energy efficiency by automobiles which are, as often noted on this
list-serve, still the dominant mode of transportation in the USA, was a
little bit hard to take.
Perhaps if all this energy was expended toward getting something done,
something would be accomplished. On the other hand, perhaps energy
efficiency, rail and other transit improvements, and a comprehensive
planning process are all a plot to hornswoggle the true activists into
believing that it is not all hopeless.
Thus the true activists should sit on their butts and throw rocks at the
Sierra Club for believing in these things and getting off our asses and
doing something. That'll larn us!
We've been exposed for being the sell-out would-be-activists we truly
are. Stay in your homes and expose this scandal!
