I don't think bus drivers are out to get bicyclists in general. That
said, bus drivers are motorists, and we all know that about half of the
motorists drive like they are psychopathic murderers, so I just think
it's part of the whole issue of driving being incompatible with a
civilized society. State Street seems to be the worst place, because of
the obvious conflicts on such a narrow road.

I've had luck communicating with [EMAIL PROTECTED], who is
something like Metro operations manager (love the guy's name!). As
always, get the bus number, description of the driver (if possible),
time of day, and route of the bus--meaning the more info you provide
them, the more likely they are to do something.

A while back on the Bikies list there was a discussion
(I think perhaps even a poll) regarding run-ins with
city busses.

First, I'm curious as to whether or not folks hold
some truth to the notion that the busses often seem,
if not out to get cyclists, certainly without a care
towards them? Second, does anyone have any thoughts as
to what other avenues one can take to try and address
this issue so that the situation improves?
