You're all invited to an event celebrating the formation of a new organization, the Friends of Capital Springs State Park, Recreation Area, and Capital City State Trail.
It's from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 6, at the Argus Bar, 123 E. Main St. The Argus will donate all the evening's profits to the friends organization. Among the people planning to attend are Sue Black, state parks director; Ken LePine, Dane County parks director; Kathy Falk, county executive; Al Fish, associate vice chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison; Paul Heinen, the Department of Natural Resources policy initiatives advisor; Bill Lunney, Dane County Parks Commission chair; and Sean Dilweg, executive assistant to the Wisconsin Department of Administration secretary.
