For Northsiders interested in commenting on the impending loss of the
relatively newly renovated (actually more than just renovated--although
Kohl's had been in Sherman Plaza before, the current store is newly
constructed space, with Benvenuto's restaurant in the previous Kohl's
space), it just happens that the monthly Northside Planning Council meeting
is Wednesday evening, 6:30-8:30 at Warner Park Centre. Public appearances
(if any) are at the very beginning of the agenda, and the entire meeting is
open to anyone who wants to observe and learn about all the things going on
in the Northside community.
Also, I'll probably be giving a brief summary of the presentation Larry
Nelson made to a group of us last week on a potential rail corridor bikeway
through the Northside between the Fordem/Johnson/Yahara area to School
Road, although if BFW's own Northsider Marjorie Ward is interested in
attending, she could probably do a better job of it than I could (hint,
hint, hint).
