I have a small cabinet full of tried and discarded saddles. The most
comfortable by far, especially on long rides, are the Specialized Body
Geometry units. They have a variety of seats for anything from comfort
riding to competition, many in a reasonable price range (around 30 bucks -
watch for sales), and they're available at several local bike shops
(Williamson and Budget, probably Erik's). I use mine for commuting from Mt
Horeb and for cross-state rides. Short of buying a new (recumbent) bike
this may be your best bet...
