In the last couple years, Madison Metro has shown lots of signs that
its management really doesn't care. One example is the chronic
shortage of printed schedules for individual routes. This is a small
thing, but what does it mean that management can't even be bothered
to print up schedules, and keep busses stocked with them? (That big
schedule book is a real pain to use.) Another is that it is
apparently impossible to talk to a real person on the phone about
schedules after 5 PM. No doubt Madison Metro management will whine
about money, but these sorts of issues have much more to do with
responsible people that with the budget.
I'm hoping our new mayor will get Madison Metro back on track.
