I don't think we are obligated to use what OCS uses. I think this one is our call.
I think "global warming" is better at grabbing attention, and as Rich said, is the term used most often to describe the issue. I think using the term "climate change", exclusively, confuses the issue. "Global warming" is the more scientifically accurate term, in my opinion. The increasing quantities of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere cause warming of the atmosphere and the planet, on average. The warming is what is causing the climate to change. It's a warming effect for the planet, including the oceans, but it may not always translate into climate warming for all areas of the planet (i.e. those affected by changes to ocean currents). However, the average land and sea temperature of the planet has clearly been rising - and not just "changing".
