"GLOBAL WARMING IMPACTS ON WISCONSIN": A forum with UW scientists John Magnuson (UW Center for Limnology) and Rick Lindroth (UW Dept. of Entomology), Bob Shimek from the National Indigenous Environmental Network, and Nancy Cole of the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS). Professors Magnuson and Lindroth are two of the authors of a new major scientific report on global warming/climate change impacts on the Great Lakes Region published by the UCS and the Ecological Society of America. Come learn about the effects of climate change on places and activities Wisconsinites depend upon for their livelihood and cherish and help craft solutions. The panel will be held on Thursday, April 10th at 7 p.m in Room 1240 of the Computer Science Building (1210 W. Dayton St.) on the UW-Madison Campus. Free parking is available in the evening at Lot 17 (at the end of Engineering Drive off of Randall Ave). This event is hosted by the Preserve Our Climate Coalition. There is no charge to attend.
