I went to a meeting last week where folks from County Parks and the DNR sought public input on the Capital Springs Park, the park that includes the Cap City Trail. 40-50 people were in attendance and there were a lot of different ideas expressed. There were two ideas that seemed to get the broadest support.
There was a lot of talk about connecting the Cap City Trail to other areas with people specifically wanting something that connects to Mc Farland. The horse people were out in force advocating for horse trails in the corridor. The private firm that is developing the plan will take these ideas and develop a couple of models for review in August.
