Friends -

We still have space in the 2003 League Cycling Instructor (LCI) training to
be held August 2-3 in Milwaukee.

Do you have any friends, colleagues, biking buddies, former students, local
teachers, or others that would like to become certified instructors? This
is a great way to be a bicycle leader in your community. Help others feel
more comfortable riding, improve their skills, make them safe.

LCIs receive certification to teach all age and skill levels. In addition
to training by a nationally recognized trainer, the seminar fee of $175
includes the LCI instructor's manual, 2 videos for use in your classes, and
the Effective Cycling book.

Please send their contact info to me, have them contact me directly - or have
them contact League of American Bicyclists (LAB) to get signed up for the
seminar.

A prerequisite of the certification seminar is Road 1 - a 9-hour course
that forms the core of the national BikeEd program. It is the class that
most LCIs teach to adults, so it is important that instructors be familiar
with it. Road 1 will be taught the weekend of July 12-13 in Madison. There
are other instructors around Madison, Milwaukee and other parts of WI if
you cannot make the July 12-13 class.

If anyone - you, a potential student, or anyone else has questions about
the LCI training or bike education in general, have them contact Bicycle
Federation of Wisconsin at the email/phone below.

Thanks!
