2. Veto the elimination of Surface Transportation Program-Discretionary
Funding (STP-D) from the state budget.
I support the restoration of STP-D funding too, but I am not sure this is something the Governor can line-item veto in itself, If it is something not in the current budget how can it's presence be removed? If that is true, the only way to restore this would be to veto the whole budget (or perhaps just the whole transportation budget) and encourage the legislature to put STP-D back in a resubmitted budget.
