all, a friend emails me today...
"today when i was riding my bike down state street to work i almost got hit by a car that ran a red light. it happened at the intersection right next to first federal bank...the one where once you go through it the overture center construction is on the left. i have seen SEVERAL cars blow through red lights here either because they are to busy gawking at the construction to notice the light or because the light (which is only on the right hand side) is just to hard to see. i think this is a serious problem and something really needs to be done about it. maybe a red light blinking sign that says "stoplight ahead" a 1/4 block before the light? maybe another light on the left side of the street where people can actually see it? it scared the shit out of me. if the timing would have been a hundreth of a second off i probably would either be dead or close to it right now. who do you think the best person would be to talk to about this? mike verveer? is there a certain department that would be good to contact?" i was not sure who she should contact but i am sure that someone on the list can tell us. thanks. -martin __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
