While riding in I took note of how lucky I am to live in a town where unmown green space can exist so close to downtown. By 4:30 the strips of flowers had been reduced mown fields with all of the visual appeal of a cut hayfield. Usually the mowing in this area is reserved to a small strip abutting the path.
