One more reason why a civilized society would ban gas-powered lawn mowers.

Subject: [Bikies] Mowers Run Amuck

Wilson? The strip that I referring to runs between the path and the railroad
tracks. Yesterday morning it was a wonderful mixture of yellow black eyed
susans, bright blue chicory along with dozens of other wildflowers. There
where virtually no noxious weeds such as thistles and ragweed to speak of.
While riding in I took note of how lucky I am to live in a town where unmown
green space can exist so close to downtown. By 4:30 the strips of flowers
had been reduced mown fields with all of the visual appeal of a cut
hayfield. Usually the mowing in this area is reserved to a small strip
abutting the path. I cannot think of a good reason why fuel and labour was
wasted in this exercise.
