As the most recent post on the "FOOT DOWN" topic has demonstrated, there appear to be some unwritten laws regarding our conduct as bicyclists. Violation of those unwritten laws is punishable by aggression and intimidation against all bicyclists collectively. The threat is real enough that there are bicyclists who
plead with others to obey the unwritten laws.
I have my own opinion on this, but seeing as I am one of your representatives in city affairs I am curious to hear what others think about this situation. Is this state of affairs one that is acceptable to everyone? Where is your threshold between common courtesy, and caving in to roadway terrorism?

My observation of other bikers in various settings where they have not stopped has shown that motorists become angry at bicyclists, and take their motorized agressions out on bikers, including myself, who do actually stop.
