Here is a web site on a free bike program that I came across in Copenhagen. For 20 kroner ($3) you can "rent" a bike. When you return it to a lock stall, you can get your money back. It works thru a key system. Better than the red bike program we've had here because while you use you can lock it up and thus guarantee your return trip. It is also popular with tourists. Anyone you finds a "stray" free bike can return it to a locking location and get the 20 kroner.
