Road construction notice Beginning Monday August 18, 2003, a portion of U-Bay drive will be closed near Picnic Point to reconstruct a portion of the existing road (See attached sketch). The closure should last about 3 weeks, weather permitting. During this time, ALL traffic will be re-routed around using the posted detour route and as shown on the sketch, with exception of the buses. The buses will have there own re-routing very similar to when this road was closed because of flooding. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic should not be effected by this closure and still be able to use the Lakeshore paths that parallel this road. Access to parking lots 76 and 60 will still be possible.
