Hello Bikies, Howard Temin Lakeshore Path users might be interested in knowing that the UW-Madison Crew House construction is finally underway. A detour route has been provided around the fenced construction area. This detour will be effective until project completion (1-2 years). Signage is posted, but a brief description of the route is as follows:
Westbound bicyclists: Before reaching the Lakeshore Dorm area, take sharp left onto sidewalk, go up & through Tripp/Adam Roundabout; take service drive by Allen Centenial Gardens; turn right at Lot 32, through Holt Dorms and down temporary asphalt path to return to Lakeshore Path. Eastbound bicyclists: Approximately 130 feet before reaching Turner Hall, take temporary asphalt path up hill, through Lot 32; take a left at the service drive by Allen Centenial Gardens, through Tripp Circle & Tripp/Adam roundabout; take left down sidewalk (prior to Lot 34 entrance), and return to Lakeshore Path.
