I just called the Madison Police Department property office. I spoke to the supervisor there. He said that 130 bikes were removed...and 17 of those have already been returned. If your bike was removed call 267-8611 or 266-4955. He said that they are doing their best to return as many bikes as possible as soon as possible...hopefully today. There should not be any delay of more than a day or so at most due to volume...the story about the person being on vacation and unable to get bikes back is not accurate according to him. To get your bike back you need the address that it was taken from. He said that no bikes were removed unless a notice was posted...and that the notices were put up Monday. Locks, of course...were cut. If you want your bike you should call ASAP...as a property auction is coming up very soon.
More bikes will be removed today...so beware.
