There will be a public open house for the update of the Westside &
Mid-Town Road Neighborhood Development Plans as noted in the notice from
the City below.

Westside & Mid-Town Road Neighborhood Development Plans Update
7 pm, Thursday, November 20, at the West Madison Agricultural Research
Station, 8502 West Mineral Point Road.
The City of Madison is updating the neighborhood development plan for the
Westside Neighborhood and a small part of the Mid-Town neighborhood, mainly
in response to the UW Research Park's proposal for a new research park near
Highway M.
The City invites all community members, residents, and landowners to come
to an open house on the Westside and Mid-Town Neighborhood Plans Update.
The purpose of the open house will be to share draft recommendations from
the plan and get public feedback before the plan is adopted within the next
two months. Members of the City's Plan Commission will also be in
attendance.
The neighborhood planning area is bounded by Mineral Point Road, Highway M,
Valley View Road and lands just to its south, and Pioneer Road. The
Preliminary plan recommends how this neighborhood should develop in the
future, including:
*The desired land use mix, design, and density of future development.
*How the new UW research center should be laid out.
*What support uses, like shaping and schools, should be planned.
*What road, transit, and bike improvements will be necessary.
This open house is an excellent opportunity to provide your input on the
draft plan before the more formal City review process begins. You may view

corner of John Nolen Drive and Lakeside Street.
