The water line contractor for the above project is getting closer to the Linden Drive-Charter Street intersection. The attached map shows approximately where the hole for the installation of this remaining water pipe is going to take place. This construction will necessitate closing down a short portion of the Linden Drive in order to accommodate this work during the working hours of the contractor (7am-4pm). Linden Drive will be closed to all thru-traffic during this time, with the exception of busses and emergency vehicles. The closed section will be between the lot 21 entrance and Charter Street. After working hours, holes will be filled in, and this section will be opened back up again. The attached map suggests the detour needed during the closed times. For now, busses will still be allowed to go through this short piece of Linden Drive on the south side of Van Hise during the closed times. This short section of road closing will start some time this week and probably last for about two weeks or until the contractor finishes the water line work in the intersection. As a forewarning, for all of you, this closing scenario will occur again when the conduit ductwork is placed crossing Linden sometime in June.
Restoration work on Linden has started last week and will soon be completed.
Construction is ongoing along University and Charter, with the majority of the work still being on Charter. It appears that work along University Avenue will be completed before the work on Charter, with the exception of the work that is adjacent to the BioTech addition.
