Part of those plans call for a *massive* expansion of the Milwaukee/E. Wash intersection. This is your chance to communicate your concerns about how land use and transportation are inextricably dependent.
We can either have a suburban looking thing right in the middle of one of the cool parts of the city (a la Knickerbocker) or something that enhances the urbanity of east side.
So far, I'm not exactly impressed. More eyes, and more voices are needed though.

What will happen at the former Rayovac and Kohls?
Citizens, developers at McGrath Associates, Alders, and City staff have been meeting for 8 months to make preliminary plans for the redevelopment of Union Corners. Plans include a mixed-use development, with housing in a range of affordability, and commercial space that will hopefully include a grocery store, a hardware store, and other neighborhood-oriented businesses.
