I invite you all to come to two upcoming events, the first TONIGHT:
1. City Starkweather Creek Workshop is Wednesday, June 2, at Olbrich Gardens.
The city plans to spend $600,000 or more to improve the Starkweather Creek corridor, including bike trails and walking trails. In April we had a well-attended session for public input of ideas, and got over 600 comments. Now, the city staff will summarize their findings and priorities.
Registration starts 5:30, presentation starts at 6 pm. There'll be some time to revisit each of the stations from Workshop #1, but the focus of this workshop will be a panel discussion, question and answer period. This is a critical time to ensure that all input has been accurately interpreted by city staff and express your opinion!
2. Starkweather Solstice Celebration
Date: Sunday, 06/20/2004
Many Friends gathered to celebrate the Winter Solstice with fellowship and a bonfire in Olbrich Park by Lake Monona. Join us in June when we mark the Summer Solstice.
Tentative Schedule
