I have absolutely no idea if we're talking about a
Capitol Police officer or an MPD Officer. My friend
hasn't lived in Madison very long and probably doesn't
even realize there is a difference. I suppose it could
have been a private security firm. My whole point in
relaying this story was out of hope that someone on
the list might be able to tell me what I can do to get
more accurate information about what happened. Was a
ticket issued on the Capitol sometime after 7:00pm on
Saturday the 14th? Who issued the ticket? Why was the
ticket issued? To whom was the ticket issued? Then,
the potantial might exist to talk to the person who
was issued the ticket. What was his experience? What
was his take on the whole thing?
What concerns me is that there is a cop who may have
been operating his vehicle wrecklessly and conducting
himself in a profane, unprofessional and potentialy
threatening manner. I have no idea how much of the
story that was told to me was glamorized, no idea what
the man who was ticketed may or may not have done.
These are the things I would like to find out. I'm not
interested in vilifying cops but if there is an
officer out there who is out of hand, something should
be done about it.
