The following items at the Tuesday, November 30,
Pedestrian-Bicycle-Motor Vehicle Commission may be of interest to bikies.
The meeting will be at 5 p.m. in Conference Room 260 of the Madison
Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard.
G.4. ID36406 Resolution directing Traffic Engineering and Parking Staff to
develop and implement a plan to return public parking to Capitol Square.
It looks like there may be a compromise that would allow for parallel
parking yet make room for a 5 foot bike lane by widening the street 3 feet
on the outside of the square. The widening would only occur where there is
parking added.
H.10. Request of Webber re. Bike Parking on State Street and specifically
in the vicinity of the Overture Center. This will be the start of a
process to look at how it is decided to buy, site, and determine the number
of racks to be installed on State St.
